What is hospice?

Transcript:

Hospice is a phrase used for care typically in the last six months of a person’s life. It’s primarily palliative in nature. In other words, care for their comfort. When someone has a terminal illness such as cancer, they may be placed on hospice. It allows Medicaid or Medicare to provide additional services to ensure their comfort toward the end of life.
