What is a living will?

Transcript:

A living will is a document that tells how you want the end of your life to occur. Currently, our medical technology can keep us alive long past our ability to enjoy life. A living will allows you to tell the doctors that if you’re in a coma, if you have a terminal condition or an in-stage condition, stop. Don’t insert a feeding tube. Get me off the respirator. Let me die in peace rather than keeping me alive just because you can. We have the technology to extend life. This is your opportunity to decide not to use that technology.
